Current WIP

Here are a few pictures of what I am currently working on.

In this picture, it doesn't look like much. But in this next picture, I have stretched it out to show off the lace

Now you can start to see how pretty the lace really is. This is the Sweet Mary Jane Cardigan, which is a pattern that was published by KnitPicks. I tried to find a link to the pattern, but it is no longer being sold. It is being knit out of KnitPicks lace weight yarn called Shadow, in the Sunset color. I would definitely use this yarn again. Nice and soft, and very reasonable.

I have only finished this up to the armholes. I am now getting ready to start the sleeves.

Hourglass Eyelet Pattern fixed

MagKnits fixed my pattern on thier website. They added Round 7 which had been accidentally omitted, and added the chart. Yay!

Hourglass Eyelet Chart

Here is the chart for my Hourglass Eyelet Socks, which are published in the December issue of MagKnits.

Hourglass Eyelet Sock Correction

I have been notified that my Hourglass Eyelet Sock pattern is missing Round 7. Here it is:

Round 7: (K2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, p1) around.

I always used the chart, and that is why I didn't realize it was missing. Sorry for the mistake.

I included a chart with my pattern, but MagKnits didn't include it. I am new at blogging, but I am going to try to see if I can figure out how to post it here.

Stay tuned.

This is one of my most recent nearly finished objects. It is called Elegant Diagonals and was designed by Mari Lynn Patrick. It was in the Spring 2000 issue of Interweave Knits. I used a cotton/acrylic blend yarn called Luxor dk that I bought at Smiley's on sale. I am really loving this sweater.

It has been done for at least a month, except for the closing. I was planning on using hook and loop tape, but can't seem to find any in the local stores. I thought about a zipper, but didn't like the way it looked. I am now considering either snaps, or maybe crocheting a border along the front edges, leaving some holes for button loops. For now it is sitting and waiting for me to decide what I want to do.

I am almost ready to start blogging regularly. First I needed to figure out how to get smaller photos so that they would actually load, and then I had to figure out enough about html in order to make paragraph breaks.

So here is my first new paragraph, and once my digital camera battery charges, I will hopefully have a picture or two to share.

Yipee

After submitting a sock design to Knitty and then to Stitch n Bitch, it has finally been accepted by MagKnits. I am very excited! I have never had a design published before. I have designed things for me or my daughter in the past, but this is the first time that I have written a pattern and submitted it. It will be in December's issue of MagKnits.
